

Nick Pendleton
Chairman / Owner, Chameleon Live
Nick was born into the world of events & entrepreneurship. He is the only child of the founders of the world famous Marquee Club and Reading festival. School holidays were spent in the offices above the club in Soho and in a field in Reading. The offices above the club in Soho doubled up as his creche & his many babysitters included Jon Anderson of Yes.
After graduating with a degree in Economics from Nottingham University, Nick rebelled & joined the corporate world.
He enjoyed a successful 26 years proudly leaving Aviva, Santander, Ernst & Young, BT & Royal Mail in better shape than when he joined them. His last role as Director of Strategy & Innovation at Royal Mail Group saw him at the heart of an 8 year modernisation journey and a historic IPO. He has postgraduate qualifications in Marketing & Finance, an MSc in Strategic Marketing & an MBA from Henley Business School.
Today, Nick is the chairman/ owner of Chameleon Live a leading corporate events agency & production house. He also chairs & is the largest shareholder of Entec Live, the UK’s longest running sound and lighting production company servicing the music industry. Nick also advises companies on strategy & growth through his consultancy, Forge Strategy Associates.
Nick is a published author, regular public & media speaker as well as an active angel investor and board member of some of the UK’s most exciting technology start-ups. He has been recognised by Syndicate Room as one of the UK’s Super Angels.
Nick learnt the importance of perseverance and positive thinking by enduring 38 years as a season ticket holder at QPR. He also recently completed his third marathon, which was a far less painful experience.
